Product Description

The core working principle of the cooling tower drift eliminator is to efficiently separate water droplets from the hot and humid air, thereby reducing water resource waste and minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment.

When the hot and humid air in the cooling tower, which contains a large number of water droplets, flows upward and enters the drift eliminator area. The drift eliminator has a special structure, such as a tortuous flow path or multiple layers of staggered blades. Taking the tortuous flow path as an example, after the air enters, it moves forward along the tortuous channel. The water droplets, due to inertia, cannot turn flexibly, so they collide with the wall surface of the drift eliminator, lose kinetic energy and adhere to it. After gathering into water droplets, they slide down and are collected under the action of gravity, achieving a preliminary separation of water droplets from the air.

For the drift eliminator with a structure of multiple layers of staggered blades, the working process is more elaborate. When the hot and humid air passes through the gaps between the blades, the air flow is divided and guided multiple times. Under the influence of blade adsorption and changes in the flow field, the relative movement between the water droplets and the air intensifies, making it easy for the water droplets to contact the blades and form a water film. Under the action of gravity and surface tension, the water film flows into the water collection tank. After being "filtered" by the blades, the number of water droplets carried by the air is significantly reduced, achieving a balance between water collection and ventilation. The purified air is discharged dry, achieving the purposes of water conservation and environmental protection.
